Google reviews without asking awkwardly

Asked at the right moment, and only once.

Every plan

Reviews are the single biggest thing deciding whether a stranger picks you. Most studios know this and still do not ask, because asking feels awkward and remembering to is work. So Slate asks for you, at the moment the client is happiest.

Who it is for: Anyone whose next client finds them on Google.

1

Paste your review link once

Take the "ask for reviews" link from your Google Business Profile and put it in Settings. That is the whole setup.

2

The gallery asks

A delivered gallery shows a short, polite ask with a button — and a code they can scan with their phone if they are looking at it on a laptop or a television.

On the gallery, at the moment they are happiest with the work.

And an email follows a few days later

A few days after delivery an email asks as well, with one reminder a week later if they have not clicked. Nobody is asked twice, and anyone who has already been asked recently is left alone.

4

Turn it off where it does not fit

Some jobs are not review jobs. There is a switch per gallery, and a studio-wide one, so the ask never goes out on work where it would land badly.

Free templates for this

Not ready for the app? These do a piece of it by hand, free and with no signup.

Also included

  • A QR code on the gallery for people viewing on a big screen
  • Click tracking, so you know who went and who did not
  • Never asks the same address twice within 60 days

The ask is the hard part, and it is the part that should not need you.
